Best School Backpacks guide

Almost from as soon as a child can walk they have toys which they want to take places with them.  From about the age of two they can have their first and take their own snacks and toys to the park.

Once they are in school they will definitely need a bag to carry to and from school.  It is, however, the parents who have the trying task of choosing the best school backpacks.  This is not a rare task, unfortunately due to, not only wear and tear, but also trend, these have to be replaced almost every year.  Hence with the beginning of each school year comes the task of finding the best school backpacks again.

If you are searching for the best school backpacks for their first year, you will probably be looking at cartoon characters or characters from their favourite stories, however, as you move onto the next year you can rest assured that this will be far too babyish and will need to be replaced with a more grown up version in a khaki type design!

Finding the best school backpacks is more than just getting the right colours, as the child progresses through school they will have to carry different things with them, initially they will not need to take much at all, but later they will need to carry books, folders, pens and pencils, sports clothes and of course, lunch and snacks.  Since all these items will be slung with no care and attention into the bag, the best school backpacks are always either wipeable or washable.  You will find that you child’s school will probably need a good cleaning out every week – otherwise the squashed snack at the bottom really does start to grow!

Children are not the most careful of creatures, some will appear to be very cautious and keep there belongings neatly, but even these children forget about where they may have stashed something.  For this reason the best school backpacks do not have too many pockets – it is just more for you to clean out!  Then there is the child who somehow always manages to drag his through the mud, or when he leaves it at the side of the football pitch, always manages to get in trodden on and squashed into the dirt!  Hence durable is essential for the very best school backpacks.

So as a parent these are your rules for getting the best school backpacks:  don’t let your child’s back pack be an embarrassment to them; don’t get your child’s back pack too small or so big they cannot carry it; make sure that you can clean it without causing yourself too much stress and finally it needs to be tough enough to last at least a year!!!

There is one last word of caution.  The school may have guidelines for what they will allow the children to carry to school – they may even have their own backpacks.  Check the school rules before you accidentally help your child to break them!
